details coming together...

Hi.
As I write this, Jackie is masterminding invitations(and a billion other details) and I am... not doing all that much.

Actually, I'm making really good progress on my list as well. It's tiny in comparison to hers, but still I am PLOWING through it. Why aren't I doing more? I'm a drummer. I hit things and people give me money(not very much and not very often), and so I'm mostly un-qualified in the art of event planning. Jackie? She helps put on one of the biggest events in the world ...and that is her job. My job is that of a monkey that takes direction well. Reminds me of a joke; what do you call a drummer who just got dumped by his girlfriend? Homeless.

Jackie, you are a saint.

Invitations, and a flood of information about our wedding soon to come.

Did you get one of these?

Well, let us know if you want ten or so more, because we printed way too many of them.

Jackie and I got engaged on Friday Oct. 16th, and we're going to tie the proverbial knot on September 18th. The Ceremony and Reception will be on our friend Kelly Karcher's farm in Leelanau county. I apologize if the dates and details have been slow in coming(I blame our rigorous social/musical/athletic schedule), but as things come together they'll be posted here.

*For those flying to this shindig: you'll want to connect into the Traverse City, unless you want to experience Michigan with a scenic drive; driving to Leelanau county from Grand Rapids is about 2.5 hours in good weather. From Detroit it's a bit longer, at around 6 hours.

Stay tuned!
